Frequently Asked Questions

Thoughtful answers to help you feel informed and comfortable.
1What is the difference between Nano Hairstrokes, Ombré Powder, and Combo Brows?
Nano Hairstrokes: Uses a single, ultra-fine digital needle to deposit pigment into the skin, mimicking natural brow hairs. It creates soft, fluffy, and hyper-realistic results with less trauma than traditional microblading.
Ombré Powder Brows: Creates a soft, misty powdered makeup look using pixelated shading. It starts translucent and soft at the front and gradually deepens toward the arch and tail.
Combo Brows: Combines hair strokes at the head of the brow for a natural opening, blended into soft powder shading throughout the body and tail for enhanced depth and definition.
2Am I a good candidate for brow PMU?
Most healthy adults are great candidates! However, you may need clearance or should avoid the procedure if you:
Are pregnant or nursing.
Have active skin conditions (eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, or acne) directly on the brow area.
Have used Accutane / Isotretinoin within the past 12 months.
Are undergoing active chemotherapy or radiation treatments.
Are prone to keloid scarring.
3Does the procedure hurt?
Client comfort is our top priority. We apply a topical anesthetic before and during the procedure to ensure minimal to no discomfort. Most clients report feeling only a light vibration or scratching sensation, and many find the process relaxing enough to fall asleep.
4How long will my new brows last?
Cosmetic tattoos are semi-permanent and typically last 1 to 3 years, depending on your skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure, and skincare routine:
Nano Hairstrokes: Typically 1 to 2 years before needing a color boost.
Ombré Powder: Typically 2 to 3 years due to fuller pixel saturation.
Annual touch-ups are recommended to maintain crisp color and shape integrity.
5How should I prepare for my appointment? (Pre-Care)
To minimize bleeding, avoid skin sensitivity, and ensure optimal pigment retention:
48 Hours Before: Avoid caffeine, alcohol, and blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, niacin, Vitamin E, fish oil).
2 Weeks Before: No chemical peels, laser facials, sunbeds, or heavy tanning. Avoid waxing or tinting your brows.
3–4 Weeks Before: Discontinue Retin-A, retinoids, AHA/BHA, or anti-aging skincare around the brow area.
3–4 Weeks Before: Avoid Botox/dysport injections in the forehead or eye area.
6What does the healing process look like? (Aftercare)
Complete healing takes about 4 to 6 weeks:
Days 1–4: Brows will appear darker, bolder, and slightly swollen.
Days 5–10: Light peeling or flaking begins. Never pick or scratch flakes, as this removes pigment prematurely.
Days 10–14: The color may appear very light or "milky" (the ghosting phase) as fresh skin cells regenerate over the pigment.
Weeks 4–6: The true healed color resurfaces and settles. At this point, your follow-up touch-up can be performed to perfect any light spots.
7Can I get a brow service if I have previous PMU or tattoo work?
Yes, but you must book a consultation or submit clear, makeup-free photos of your existing brows to 971-427-7390 prior to booking.
If previous ink is heavily saturated, scarred, or discolored (dark blue/grey or red), we may recommend Laser Eyebrow Removal first to lighten the area before placing fresh strokes or shading.
If the ink is sufficiently faded, we can proceed with a Correction & Cover-Up session.
8Is a touch-up session necessary?
Yes, cosmetic tattooing is generally a two-step process. The initial session lays the foundation, while the perfecting touch-up (scheduled 6 to 8 weeks later) fills in any areas that healed lighter, refines color tone, and locks in the final result.
9Can I wear makeup or exercise after my procedure?
Exercise: Avoid strenuous workouts, heavy sweating, hot yoga, and saunas for 7 to 10 days, as salt from sweat can push pigment out of healing pores.
Makeup: Keep all makeup, foundation, sunscreen, and cleansers strictly away from the brow area until flaking has completely finished (approx. 10–14 days).
